Charles F. Hall of Romney and formerly of Waynetown and Parke County died at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Hospital East, Lafayette. He was 86. Mr. Hall farmed in Montgomery County and retired from Mid-States Steel and Wire as a purchasing agent. He was a member of Alamo Christian Church and 50-year member of the Alamo Masonic Lodge. He was born Feb 11, 1924 in Montgomery County to Edgar "Ed" and Josephine (McMains) Hall. He married Nellie M. Myers on June 24, 1944. She survives. Also surviving are a son, Robert "Bob" (Diana) Hall, Romney; a daughter, Vicky Lynn Ridge Cooney (Tom), Battleground, Wash; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery with Mel Vance officiating. There will be no calling. Shoemaker Funeral Home, Waynetown is in charge of arrangements. - kbz
